Dare to bare

Friday, January 29, 2016

Weekends are all about taking a break from weekdays. In these few days we try to embrace a more relaxed and casual way of dressing compared to what we have to wear to school or our work place and what's more enticing than an off shoulder top and more relaxing than good ol' Levi jeans.

Apparently the off shoulder top is a 90's trend that is just too cool to not try out again, so it's going to be in for a long while. Baring one's shoulder is just as sexy as baring one's midriff in a crop top.

I wore this outfit sometime during school break in December last year to get lunch with friends before we went to see a movie. Back then the weather was a lot warmer and most fashion editors will agree with me that the off shoulder trend is a summer outfit, however you can still make this look work in the cold and dry harmattan season, you just might need to have a shawl or neck scarf handy. So there's no need to hid those sculpted shoulders because of the weather cause we already got that "covered up" literally speaking.

Apart from the simplicity of this top I like the sultry vibes it gives to clash with the canvas and Jeans and also these tend can be dressed up or down with casual pants, dungarees, midi skirts etc. or take it up a notch as a dress, with culottes, slim fit & flare skirts and flare pants.

The white color makes it pretty easy to wear with anything you may wish to, so if you have yours tucked somewhere in the back of your closet or deep inside your box, pull it out and bare those shoulders.
